Mnemosyne (Superior with Sea View)
According to Greek mythology the lustful nature of Zeus led him to lie with Mnemosyne, a Titanide daughter of Gaia (Earth) and Uranus (Sky) , goddess of memory and remembrance. He spend with Mnemosyne nine nights in Pieria region close to Olympus Mountain. As a result of this coupling, Mnemosyne did give birth to nine daughters, on consecutive days . The term Mnemosyne is derived from the same source as the word mnemonic, that being the Greek word mnēmē, which means “remembrance, memory”.
