Skiathos Town has all different types of accommodation and by choose to stay here you will be near to everything. The capital town of Skiathos has absolutely excellent tourist facilities. Megali Ammos is the nearest tourist resorts from the city of Skiathos. From most accommodations you can reach the center of Skiathos as well as by bus or by foot in less than ten minutes. In Megali Ammos beach which is awarded with the blue flag you will find a range of taverns and restaurants on the Sea as well as watersports and supermarkets. Achladies and Vasilias are both beautiful resorts and consists of hotels, villas and studios. It is just 4 to 6 km from the town of Skiathos where you can reach by bus or sea taxi. In both homonymous beaches which is awarded with blue flag you will find restaurants, watersports, beach bars as well as mini markets.
Kalamaki is a green peninsula in the southern part of the island and is surrounded by beautiful beaches like Tzaneria and Kanapitsa both awarded with the Blue flag. To the west we find the area of Vromolimnos with the beautiful homonymous beach. In both areas there are deluxe villas as well as hotel units. The town of Skiathos is 6 km away and in addition to buses you can get there by water taxi.
Both Agia Paraskevi the village and the beach have been named after the chapel located in the area and are around 7 kilometres far from Skiathos town. The village extends to a large valley which includes to the east the beautiful area of Kolios and the homonymous beach. As in most of the island, there is a variety of accommodation, with many villas, suites or studios and a 5-star hotel. Here you will find a lot of taverns serving Greek dishes as well as restaurants with Mediterranean and international cuisine. Both areas are suitable for every visitor, no matter their age or preference. There are plenty of bars and cafes around to keep you entertained at night. The two beaches, both awarded with blue flag are in a very short distance from the resorts and organised with beach bars and restaurants. The sea there is quite calm, ideal for families and young children. For walkers, there are walking trails to Kechria forest through the valley.
